gastronomy
| The culinary art from the Dordogne is internationally famous. The region is well known for its truffle, “paté de foie gras” (goose-liver paste), walnuts, duck and strawberries. Those, and many other ingredients from this region are used by numerous restaurants in delicious dishes, varying from modest till very luxurious. Next to the menu card they offer often an optional menu. We also use the delicious local products in our restaurant. Let us surprise you! The wines are even more famous than the food. Very close is the Bergerac region, where deep red spicy wines (Pecharmant) and fresh white wines and sweet dessert wines (Monbazillac) are produced. A little further on is the Bordeaux region, where the best wines of the world are produced. It is definitely worth a visit! It is also possible to have a typical French meal with a glass of French wine at one of the villages feasts. Only 3 km from the campsite is the little village of Audrix, where you can eat with other tourists and the French inhabitants, while a band plays some folkloric music. Isn’t that the real France…? | ![]() | |
