“If God was searching for a place to stay on earth,
it would be here...”
(from our guestbook)
It is easy to understand why the Dordogne or Perigord Noir was one of the most early inhabited areas of Europe. Over 60.000 years ago the first inhabitants (Cro Magnon) took advantage of the soft climate and the diversity of plants, trees and landscapes. Here you will find caves, castles, churches, cloisters and even completely intact medieval villages. From the 15th century on, the English came here to explore and conquer. There is a rich history to discover.
Situated in the centre of all this, in the “Perigord Noir”, you will find camping “Le Clou” on a hill between the two rivers Dordogne and Vézère. We offer you a pleasant environment amongst many plants and trees, and we can assure you of a personal and friendly welcome! We do speak English. We take pleasure in sharing the cosy courtyard between our two Perigord buildings, where you can have a drink and enjoy the view over our swimming pools and the green valley beyond. From early springtime our guests will have the advantage of facilities like our bar, restaurant, swimming pool and modern toilet and shower facilities.
